Women supporting women
Yesterday I had the great privilege of supporting my friend Lisa Newman and Zonta Club of Brisbane City Heart with their annual Signature event!
Pagoni was on the RUNWAY and Pagoni looked fabulous!!
My video assistant (aka husband Greg Behrendt) shot video of the runway show while I was in the back dressing the models. I will share videos of the runway show in a later post.
A fabulous day of fun and fashion! Pagoni shared the stage with gorgeous fashion by SACHA DRAKE Pty Ltd and Wil Valor. Our MC was none other than the gloriously funny Kim Skubris who had us up and dancing to the Nutbush!!
I had a pop-up table to showcase the Pagoni Ready-to-Wear jewellery as well as the Pagoni Bespoke pieces, and Pagoni was rather popular! My friend Susan Coburn helped me take care of all the customers. Pagoni Jewellery was flying out the door! Well, once Susan and I figured out how to connect the Square to my iPhone...there's this thing called... Bluetooth? Who knew?? My daughter usually takes care of this for me, but she was not available. Apparently, she has a life?
Yesterday we came together to support a cause that is close to my heart...homeless Australian women! I personally believe it is important for each of us to support charities and causes if we are able to, whether financially or by volunteering.
Raising funds for The Forgotten Women and Sheltered by Grace who provides accommodation and dedicated programs for homeless women! 49,000 Australian women are homeless on any given day! Most of them are invisible because they are couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or sleeping rough. Many women and children return to family violence because they have nowhere else to go. This is heartbreaking!
I am so grateful for these 2 charities started by women who want to make a difference to women. And we too can help them make a difference to countless women! By volunteering or donating. Here is the website link for Zonta Brisbane City Heart. Please give what you can.
